The world’s oldest, simplest chair design.
These simplistic wonders are each carved from a single piece of native hard wood and originate from the Senufo people of the Ivory Coast. The Senufo chair has a unique utilitarian folding-up system designed for the semi-nomadic life of the Senufo people.
Traditionally on the back of these chairs there is a lovely surprise of a carved animal… here, the crocodile.
