The indigo color is obtained from plant sources - indigofera plant and the indigo vine. The cotton cloth is repeatedly immersed into the dye to darken the color. Afterwards the textile is hand-beaten to fasten the color. All cloths signifies wealth, abundance and fertility and are made of narrow hand woven strips which are sewn together to complete the piece. Each cloth is unique with time worn patches and stitching which adds to the beauty. The Indigo Cloths may be worn as a wrap or as a throw.
