These stunningly grand hand woven baskets are made from plant fibers by the Bohero people who live on the borders of Zimbabwe and Zambia. They are used for storing food, and for carrying grain and seeds from the farmlands to the villages. These incredible Buhera baskets come in a variety of unique shapes and sizes and can be placed as unique organic sculpture in the modern home.

The Wanderlane Wool Collection explores a unique mix of wool felt and natural fibres. Modern and simplistic design merges vibrant ethnicity inspired by the South African landscape and diverse cultures. These pieces are handmade from Merino wool and Karakul, ethically sourced and produced in South Africa. The addition of silk and other natural fibers wonderfully transforms the felt to reveal a surprising and luxurious texture. Our Wanderlane Wool Collection is part of an all women’s collective supporting & training local artisans to create innovative sustainable products.

Tutsi Vessel

These cylindrical wooden vessels are carved with great skill by the pastoral Tutsi people who used these vessels to collect milk, honey and carry food. Over the years, as the vessels require repairs, the Tutsi artisans use metal pieces to restore their functionality as they pass them down from generation to generation. The intricate metal patching results in preserving a unique and functional piece of art adding to its intrinsic value.
